Conquering Your Concerns and Building Confidence

Purchasing a home is a dream for many, however, the complexities of the home-buying process can be overwhelming which can bring on a bit of fear. Today, we are hearing a ton of chatter in the “airways” that purchasing a home is merely impossible. But keep in mind, that there are still a ton of people who are getting pre-approved daily.

Although many people may not get pre-approved immediately, they are taking the necessary steps to move forward. A few years ago, I had a client who contacted me to let me know she was ready to purchase. She watched many of my videos and with the thought that homeownership might not be possible in the near future, she would try otherwise. After our conversation, I linked her with my lender, and during the call, the lender ran her credit. It was to her surprise, that there were only a couple of items on her credit that needed correction and what she thought would be years or almost impossible to do, she was able to get pre-approved in approx. 30 days. Needless to say, she was able to close her first deal, despite fear and other obstacles that tried to stand in her way.

Overcoming home-buying anxiety starts with you. If you are ready to take the first steps, here are a few future first-time home buyer’s tips:

“Everything you want is on the other side of fear.” - Jack Canfield. Don’t allow fear to take over your desire to become a homeowner and build generational wealth. It’s important to take that leap of faith and do it afraid.

Contact a great REALTOR®, such as myself or one of the agents at CMB Realty Services (I’m just saying,) to receive your home buyer consultation.

Be open to speaking to a lender to discuss your finances and credit to get you prepared to take the next step towards homeownership.

Understanding the process will ease the thoughts of fear as you get prepared to own a home. Media outlets, social media, and sometimes even the ones closest to you may say that the process is hard or impossible based on their personal opinions. But speaking to the real estate professionals will be the key to opening the doors to your home ownership.
